Clipton は、直近のクリップボード履歴を表示し、対応する項目をプレビューし、選択した項目を貼り付けるためにクリップボード内容を読み取ります。内容にはテキスト、リッチテキスト、HTML、画像、ファイルパスが含まれる場合があります。

暗号化履歴が有効な場合、履歴ペイロードはユーザーのアプリデータフォルダーにローカル保存され、Windows のユーザースコープ DPAPI で保護されます。登録単語もローカルに保存され、暗号化されます。設定、ローカル画像サムネイル、一時貼り付けファイルもユーザーの端末上に保存されます。

ファイルとして貼り付けるための一時ファイルと外部画像プレビュー用の一時ファイルには、クリップボード内容が暗号化されない形で含まれる場合があります。Clipton は貼り付け用ファイルを約30分後、画像プレビュー用ファイルを約10分後に削除するよう最善努力で処理し、起動時にも古い一時ファイルを削除します。

Clipton は、クリップボード内容、設定、登録単語、利用状況データをサーバーへアップロードしません。現在のバージョンには、クラウド同期、テレメトリ、クラッシュレポート、広告 SDK、第三者へのデータ共有はありません。

Clipton reads clipboard content so it can show recent clipboard history, preview supported items, and paste selected items. Clipboard content may include text, rich text, HTML, images, and file paths copied from other apps.

When encrypted history is enabled, history payloads are stored locally in the user's application data folder and protected with Windows user-scoped DPAPI. Snippets are also stored locally and encrypted. Settings, local image thumbnails, and temporary paste files are kept on the user's device.

Temporary files used for file paste and external image preview may contain clipboard content in unencrypted form. Clipton deletes them on a short best-effort schedule, about 30 minutes for paste files and 10 minutes for image preview files, and also cleans old temporary files on startup.

Clipton does not upload clipboard content, settings, snippets, or usage data to any server. The current version does not include cloud sync, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or third-party data sharing.

Users can pause capture, delete individual history items, clear all history, export or import local data, require a PIN before showing history and snippets, disable encrypted local history, and control startup behavior from settings.
